Accepting Donations
PayFast offers a Cause account for charities and other NPO's to help them with fundraising, by accepting donations online.
Donors can pay via any of the payment methods we offer (including credit cards). Your cause will also be able to receive donations from overseas donors via credit cards and Ukash.
While there are unfortunately costs involved in processing payments, PayFast does its bit by offering vastly reduced fees for causes as well as hosting a webpage on our site for your cause. This page provides information about your cause and can accept donations.

What do I need to register?
You will need to supply us with the following information to register:
- Name & Surname
- Email Address
- ID Number
- South African Bank Account
- Postal Address
- Physical Address
- NPO & PBO numbers (and proof thereof)

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be a registered NPO to accept donations?
Yes, according to South African legislation, you have to be a registered non-profit organisation (NPO) in order for us to accept donations on your behalf.
I don't have a website though! How will I receive donations?!
No problems! We provide a cause page on our site for your cause which will give potential donors information about your cause including your logo, a description of your cause, contact details as well as your NPO and PBO numbers (if applicable). There is obviously also a "donate" button for donors to make a donation :-)
