With the link between animal abuse and human violence well researched and established in academic circles, the trustees of The Humane Education Trust resolved that through their abhorrence of cruelty of any kind to animals or humans, to create a trust to promote humane education in society in the firm belief that the learning of respect, compassion and empathy for all forms of life, will promote peace and reduction of violence in human society
