In line with our committment to offer the best and most reliable payment service, PayFast will be moving to a new datacenter environment on 12 February 2012.
This planned maintenance is scheduled for Sunday, 12 February 2012, between 00:00 and 02:00, during which time PayFast will be unavailable.
At the same time, we will be changing the IPs addresses linked to our primary server to the following new IP addresses:
DNS resolution will be managed appropriately to ensure a minimum of interruption as a result of this change and as long as you use domain names when referring to our servers (eg. www.payfast.co.za) in any code within your websites or systems, you should not experience any extended interruption.
If however, you have make use of our current IP addresses (188.8.131.52, 184.108.40.206) anywhere in your systems – most importantly in your “notify” page (used to receive ITN callbacks from PayFast) – please ensure that you add these new IP addresses (220.127.116.11, 18.104.22.168) to that code before 12 February 2012 or you will potentially experience errors after the transition.
If you make use of a shopping cart system created by PayFast (osCommerce, Magento, VirtueMart, Zen Cart, PrestaShop etc.), this change will NOT affect you.
If you make use of a shopping cart system created by a 3rd party, please consult with the shopping cart plugin provider to ensure that no changes are required as a result of this change.
If you have done a custom integration with PayFast, please consult with your developer(s) to ascertain if any changes are required.
In almost all cases, this change will have no affect on your integration, but please verify this with the appropriate party.
