The Cluny Animal Trust is an indepentdent, non-profit, public benefit veterinary welfare organisation established in 2011 primarily to serve the needs of animals owned by impoverished residents of the Eastern Free State and further afield. The trust stems from Dr Katherine Barker's sterilisation programme established in 2004 and is currently run from her small private clinic in Fouriesburg. We have a fully equipped mobile surgical unit and are currently busy to fundraise to build our own base hospital. Primary animal Healthcare is a major part of our work. It involves:
Sterilisation of pets
The care of sick and injured animals is becoming a larger part of our work, and the area in which we are working is expanding due to increasing requests for assistance from further afield. Financial contributions, no matter how small, are essential to ensure that our ongoing projects are sustained.
