How do I pause an instruction?

A merchant has the ability to pause a subscription from their PayFast account at any given time by following the below steps:

  1. Log into your PayFast account.
  2. Navigate to the "transactions tab" and click on "subscriptions".
  3. Under "Subscriptions that are due to you", retrieve the subscription that you would like to pause.
  4. Click on the "||" icon next to the subscription to pause.
  5. Enter the number of times that you would like the subscription to be paused.
  6. Check the box that you acknowledge that any changes may trigger emails to the subscriber and merchant.
  7. Click the "Update" button to confirm the cancellation of the subscription. 

*NB The buyer will be notified via email that the subscription has been paused.
