The Animal Rescue Hospital is based in Cape Town and services over 20 000 sick and suffering animals annually. 3 mobile clinics are sent out daily to provide veterinary services to impoverished communities. Sterilisation and youth education are of uptmost importance. The hospital also assists other small animal welfares with their veterinary requirements. ARO receives no government funding and rely solely of the generosity of the public.
MASU (Mobile Animal Sterilisation Unit) has just been launched! This enables ARO to travel to areas that have absolutely no veterinary facilities and carry out sterilisations on site. This is the first of its kind in Western Cape and already we are receiving desperate calls from far away communities.
