Walk of Life

After completing the 550km first time ever walk across India. Now we embark on a first time ever 21km walk per day for 21 consecutive days on Durban's promenade. The walk is inspired by Bala Gangiah a 60yr old cancer survivor with one kidney to raise funds for Chatsworth Hospice and inspire others to survive and succeed against all odds. Please contact me on 0828760228 for more info. The walk will start on 19th June at 5am at Pirates Lifesaving Club and finish on 9th July.

Chatsworth Hospice was established in 1991 to provide holistic palliative care to patients suffering from Cancer, HIV and Chronic diseases. It is also a support system for family and friends of the sickly, helping them to cope and manage the sickness and or bereavement. All services are provided free of charge. Chatsworth Hospice has no state funding and is supported by individuals, companies, organisations and fundraising initiatives. Chatsworth Hospice is managed by volunteers who receive no salary.

We strive to provide access to quality hospice palliative care to all in need of such care, within a culture of excellence and best practice.

Founded on the principle of selfless service and provided entirely free of charge, our services are offered to people who are incurably or terminally ill from cancer and other malignant diseases and to their families, irrespective of race, creed, gender, age or sexual orientation.
