CMR East London

Christelik-Maatskaplike Raad (CMR) East London is a Non-Profit and Public Benefit Organisation. The organisation was established in 1955 to serve hurting children and their families. CMR East London is an inclusive organisation that is open to all community members irrespective of their religion, race, sexual orientation, and citizenship.
Over the past 66 years the organisation has grown in geographical reach, service offering and human resource capacity. Our interventions include child protection, prevention and early intervention, and adoption services. We also run a safe house called Victory House for abused women and their children, and victims of rape and human trafficking. Victory House can accommodate 20 women and children offering trauma informed care, support, and services to help women get back on their feet, offering hope and disrupting the cycle of violence. CMR East London is based in the Buffalo City District of the Eastern Cape Province. On a community level we provide services in the following communities: East London City which consists of 40 suburbs Cambridge Location Mzamom’hle Township Ducats North & South Townships, and Reeston Township
Our primary beneficiaries are children from birth to 18 years and their families.
