Dharmagiri is a Section 21, PBO & NPO under S.African law. It is a small Buddhist based residential retreat centre in Underberg, Southern Drakensberg, KwaZulu Natal, and was founded by Kittisaro & Thanissara in 1995, who are former Buddhist monastics and Dharma teachers. Dharmagiri promotes: Insight Meditation Mindfulness Buddhist Dharma Indigenous Wisdom & Ceremony Interfaith Dialogue Plant-Based Diet & Ahimsa (non-violence) Permaculture Healing Modalities Eco-awareness Mountain walks within the local Drakensberg wilderness.
Dharmagiri hosts retreats and educational programmes.
