Family Outreach Ministries

There is no mistaking it—drug abuse is a planet wide epidemic.

If you or someone you know is caught in the grip of addiction, you are no doubt living in your own personal nightmare.

At Family Outreach Ministries, we do not believe an addict is an addict for life. We do not believe addiction is an incurable disease.

We believe a person trapped in the dwindling spiral of substance abuse can take their life back and live drug free. How do we do it? We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ can set you free.

We are one of the most affordable faith based drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers in South Africa. Our program is 100% based on the Word of God. We are NOT here to become millionaires, but to save the people that are lost and bound to addiction.

Family Outreach Ministries was established in August 2001 with the idea of helping people with a substance dependency problem through the power of Jesus Christ. It was started by the Dry family and is currently run by Pastor Eddie Dry and his wife Pastor Ina Dry.

We are situated 50Km north of Graaff-Reinet, Eastern Cape on the N9. We bought an old roadside motel and converted into a drug and alcohol rehab centre. It is an inpatient program based on the word of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the most amazing feeling, seeing someone turn away from that lifestyle of substance abuse.

Not everyone can be saved. We do endeavour to help as many as we can. And maybe one day the seed we have planted in the hearts of those that do stumble and fall, will germinate and take root in their lives. And they too will be set free.

We feel that 21 days is not long enough to get your life in order. We believe; the longer, the stronger! We run a 24 week program, and still charge less than most 21 day programs. More expensive doesn't mean better results. We also don't believe in the 12 step program but rather in our Lord Jesus Christ. (John.8:36 - "So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.")

Most of the senior management themselves went through the trouble of addiction and has been clean and sober for many years. And through our life experiences we can minister and counsel them and show them it can be done and we can make a success out of our lives.

They know that our door is always open for them. If they need to break away from the stresses of everyday life, they are more than welcome to come and visit us at any time. They can even just pick up the phone if they just need some advice or a little bit of counselling.
