Family Support for Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is one of the most poorly understood and under-resourced of all mental health conditions. There is a dire need to support people suffering from this illness to enable them to live their best lives. Family support is a vital cog in the treatment process.

Family Support for Schizophrenia plays a big role in meeting this need across South Africa. We are a family support group which has offered relatives and carers of people living with schizophrenia a valuable space for mutual support and learning for more than 40 years.

Your support will help us extend our reach, providing information, advice and support through our monthly online meetings addressed by experts in the mental health field, our website and publications, and our awareness-raising and advocacy efforts.
