GADRA Advice & Community Work

GADRA Advice was established in 1968 as a chartiable organisation providing food parcels and feeding schemes at schools in the township. Today we continue with our relief work which includes food parcels, soup kitchens and clothing donations but also development work such such as solar cooking workshops, financial lifeskills, ABET and sewing lessons for the unemployed.

We also run a skills development programme for the Blind and Partially Sighted which includes computers and Braille. Other projects include Blind Bee-keeping, Food Gardens for the Blind, marimba drumming and social outings to promote independence and integration.
