GRACEWORLD FOOD BANK to Serve, Love, and Grow
GRACEWORLD FOOD BANK is to share God's love, foster spiritual growth, and serve our community with compassion and purpose.
In a world where abundance exists side by side with scarcity, the stark reality is that 18 million South Africans face hunger every day, while an astonishing 10 million tons of edible food are discarded each year. This gross inequity is not just a statistic; it is a call to action for all of us. Notably, the only miracle that is recounted in all four Gospels is the feeding of the 5,000, a poignant instance where Jesus demonstrated His concern for both physical and spiritual sustenance. In the Gospel of John, after the miraculous feeding, Jesus emphasizes that while physical food is necessary, it is the spiritual food that truly sustains our souls. He states, "Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life" (John 6:27).
