Gugulthu Parents For Orphans

Gugulethu Parents For Orphans was established as an independent NGO in Vosloorus, its first AGM in 2006 where 35 members rectified the constitution. This was followed by the registration as an NGO in July 2007. Gugulethu Parents For Orphans is an HIV/AIDS Programme that deals with children that are infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. We offer After School Programme, home/community based care and support, a support group, an income generating Programme and also trying to eliminate poverty. The Programme involves support for foster parents, orphans and vulnerable children, child headed families, needy children and People living with HIV/AIDS. Today Gugulethu Parents For Orphans is a membership-based organization bringing together 1500 services to people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and opportunistic infections. We currently have four branches three in Gauteng and one in KZN.
