Hilltop Animal Outreach

Based in East London, Hilltop Animal Outreach has been in operation since 2008. The team consists of 11 ladies that all work full time.

Our 3 primary focus areas are:
1. Rehabilitating and rehoming animals:
We take in and hand raise/rehabilitate stray/homeless animals. This includes the sick, broken and neonatals. These animals are fostered in the volunteers personal homes, alongside their other family members and pets.

2. Trap, Neuter, Release (TNR) Program
We have an aggressive, ongoing sterilization program. Each trapped cat is tested for FIV/FeLV, Vaccinated before sterilizing. Each dog is vaccinated against diseases such as rabies, distemper and parvo when sterilizing.

3. Outreach
We assist the community by feeding, medically treating and sterilizing several feral cat colonies. We maintain the health and well-being of these colonies consisting of over 400 cats. We ensure that we feed our ferals three times a week. In doing so, we use approximately 90kg of pellets a week.
