One to One Africa uses peer support models to address the needs of women, children and adolescents in communities across South Africa. Our primary focus is on access to healthcare and education through practical, cost-effective interventions that leverage the lived experience of members of the communities we work in and the expertise of partner organisations and the government.
Our programmes are designed to be scaleable and to build
employability skills among our staff members.
We currently run three programmes in the Eastern and Western Cape Provinces of South Africa:
1) Enable: Mentor Mothers support pregnant women and their babies
to ensure they survive and thrive.
2) Bright Start: trained facilitators provide caregivers of HIV-exposed children with educational toys to aid cognitive development.
3)Better Together – provide psychosocial support to adolescents with chronic illnesses.
