Kindness Like Confetti

We are a Linden based NPO which concentrates on womens and childrens needs in our area. ? The Pad Princess provides sanitary products to keep girls in school, on average they lose 1 week a month, sometimes in total 12 -14 weeks of schooling per year. ? The Joseph Jersey Project has a team of knitters and crocheters who produce outstanding work all year, from beanies for the homeless, knee blankets for the aged, jerseys for the nursery school kids in informal settlements to baby blankets and knitted clothing for newborns. ? Project uplift collects gently used bras and panties for women who cannot afford their own. These are distributed to women’s organisations working in impoverished areas around the country. ? The Dignity Bag project provides essentials to women and children who’ve suffered from trauma, abuse or rape. The bags contain items such as a new pair of panties, soap and a washcloth, a pretty scarf, a small blanket in case they go into shock etc. A full list of items is available. ? We run a soup kitchen that feeds approx 50-80 each week, we’re currently supporting a Greymont soup kitchen as the need in this area is great. Many families are struggling to make ends meet after losing employment during Covid19. We also provide food hampers to families when we have the funds available.
