Oosterland Child and Youth Care Centre

Oosterland Child and Youth Care Centre is in existence since 1980, situated in Despatch, Eastern Cape South Africa, and accommodates 104 children placed in our care by the Children’s Court. The main target group is all children in need of care, including the destitute, orphaned, abused, and neglected. Oosterland is serving the children of Eastern Cape, irrespective of race, culture, gender, linguistic or religious heritage. Our 106 children are representative of all race groups. More than 90 % of our children are from Despatch, Uitenhage and Port Elizabeth.

A child is placed with a two year court order and an Individual Developmental Plan must be submitted to the Dept. of Social Development to ensure that services are rendered in the best interest of every child.
