The RSE Community Foundation

The Riviersonderend (RSE)Community Foundation is a small rural charity active in the rural village of Riviersonderend approximately 160 km east of Cape Town South Africa. We are a group of local and international volunteers committed to the transformation of our village. We have for focus areas namely 1. Children Santuary - We support vulnerable, neglegted and needy children with specific reference to children affected and infected by HIV. 2. Ubuntu Youth Leadership training and camps - We organise annually a camp for 25 to 30 children at the Blue Hippo in Greyton South Africa. We target children between the ages of 12 and 17 years of age. 3. Education Fund - We support disciplined and achieving grade 10 - 12 learners with opening of bank accounts, application for identity documents and passports, application for bursaries and loans, transport, small amounts of pocket money, tutor support in mathematics, science and technology, stationery, food and clothing, application for university accomodation etc. 4. Gogo quilting and needlework group - we support the gogo's with materials, equipment, training and marketing.

We are supported by a group of amazing volunteers from the United States of America. They are members of the Unity Church on the Hills in Austin Texas, the Unity Church of Overland Park, Unity Church Worldwide in Lee's Summit, Light Center in Baldwin Kansas and LoveLight.
