SASLAW

The aim of the Society is to promote the
advancement of labour law as a legal and
academic discipline, and encourage collaboration
between lawyers and other experts within the
field of labour law.
SASLAW has 1300 members in South Africa. Membership is made
up of judges, advocates, attorneys, candidate attorneys, HR and
IR management, government officials, CCMA commissioners,
and employers’ organisations. SASLAW has chapters in Gauteng,
KwaZulu-Natal, Western Cape, Eastern Cape and the Free State, and
the national committee plans to open chapters in Polokwane and
Nelspruit in 2016.
Seminars and workshops focusing on topical issues are arranged
throughout the year, which suit the wide range of members.
SASLAW was honoured to have won the bid the host the 21st World
Labour Law Congress in September 2015. This successful event
was held in Cape Town and attracted 520 delegates from Europe,
America, Asia, Australasia and the African continent.
