Solving 7

Solving 7’s primary objective is to facilitate the collection of post-consumer co-mingled multilayer single use plastic film waste from the environment, and prevent it from entering landfills, incineration facilities and water systems. 100% of this waste is processed into school desks for under-resourced communities in South Africa. One of the core underlying principles for Solving 7 is not only to remove this waste from the environment, but also to alleviate poverty by creating job opportunities along the whole supply chain, and to create an end-use sustainable product that can fill a huge need in South Africa. In addition, we will create awareness and sensitization around recycling this type of plastic.
