Teleios Church

We are a multiracial and multigenerational faith community in the south of Johannesburg, South Africa. We are a teaching house with a strong community ethos whose singular objective is to mature the believer in the faith, hence the name Teleios. The name Teleios is derived from Hebrews 6:1 “…..therefore let us go unto maturity….”

We have a strong community ethos, which involves giving to our community through our social engagement arm, run by Pastor Marilyn Bailey. Through our initiatives we managed to feed, cloth and provide many with important basic necessities and continue to do so.

We have adopted Turffontein Primary School, where many disadvantaged children from the surrounding areas attend school. For Turffontein Primary we are currently running the following ongoing social initiatives.

#HelpAGirlChild Project.

30% of Girl Learners in South Africa miss school when they are menstruating. Menstruation can last in some cases up to 7 days, this means that a poor‚ vulnerable and marginalised girl child will miss potentially 21 school days with in a standard South African school term.

We started the #HelpAGirlChild Project in order to make a difference in the drive to help keep school girls in school during their menstruation cycle. This far we have provided 137 girl students with much needed sanitary pads, but this is an ongoing project, because the need is ongoing.

HOW CAN YOU HELP⁉️

#GetFresh Project.

School Attendance in South Africa is tremendously impacted by illnesses caused by poor hygiene. While education is need to help effect change in this area, education alone is not enough to eradicate the problem. Affordability is also a contributing factor for most disadvantaged families.

We have started our #GetFresh Project where we will be donating much-needed toiletries to the Grade 6 and 7 Learners at Turffontein Primary School.
