The Parkinson Association SA which is a registered Non Profit Organisation (NPO 003-851) was founded in 1970. It has expanded rapidly in the years since then. We are the only national organisation working exclusively to support people with Parkinson's disease & Related Movement Disorders, their families and care-givers.
Our mission is the conquest of Parkinson's Disease and the alleviation of the distress it causes. The Association produces a wide range of resources, including information sheets, booklets, audio tapes, videos, on all aspects of these disorders.
Our members receive educational magazine, the Tulip Talk & Dystonia a quarterly Forum, which has many interesting features such as up-to-date reliable reports on general trends in treatment, information on welfare matters and medical viewpoints.
