The Underdog Project

The Underdog Project aims to engage, motivate and inspire our learners to stay in school and reorient their lives; and in the process, help shelter dogs to learn skills that will improve their chances of adoption.

The Underdog Project brings together two sets of underdogs, giving them the space to learn from each other and gain valuable life lessons on their journey together. We work with at-risk high school learners between 14 and 19 years old from disadvantaged backgrounds, and dogs in jeopardy.

The Underdog Project provides a safe, stimulating extra-mural activity for high-school learners. We also address issues of violence in communities and families by teaching humane education in addition to other life-skills workshops.
